Shimofuda Site

The Shimofuda ruins is an archaeological site containing the ruins of a late Jōmon period settlement located in what is now the Fudai neighborhood of the city of Chōfu, Tokyo Metropolis in the Kantō region of Japan. The site was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1987, with the area covered by the designation extended in 2005 and again in 2011 due to additional finds.
